Anzac Day 2023
Dear fellow travellers
We hope that you are preparing for a wonderful Xmas Season ahead.
Join us on our Anzac Day commemoration next year to France and Belgium.
To help you decide…. Here is the latest information.
We have now finalised and secured tentative airfare bookings and accomodation and need to confirm everything by the end of the first week in the New Year …6th January 2023 and forward deposits.
We will fly with Qatar airlines direct from Brisbane on a late evening flight , stopping in Doha for a short refuel before flying onto Paris and arriving early afternoon. We will then travel directly to Amiens ( about 1 hour) for a restful evening.
We have places now for 15 travellers only and have catered for both single and double accomodation in some really nice hotels. Those who travel with us know how important this accomodation is for us all.
Ibis Styles Centre Amiens is very close to the Cathedral , shops and Somme canal restaurants. Dukes Palace in Bruges is very close to the central square and shops also. The Albion Hotel in Ypres is absolutely central and a beautiful spot. Our Villa stay in Riquier ,Picardy is close to Amiens and the Somme beaches. Modern and stylish but in an historic building it will be a lovely place to relax. Finally Hotel Relais Bosquet near the Eiffel Tower is a favourite and offers luxurious surroundings.
The tour is all inclusive and covers return airfares, transport, tours including Anzac Day at the National Memorial in Villers Bretonneux, accomodation and all meals excluding lunches on selected days.
We will require a $3000.00 deposit ASAP to secure your place including airfares and accomodation with final payments due on March 31st 2023.
(Deposits will be fully refundable until the 28th February. After this time all deposits will become non refundable due to booking conditions imposed by all foreign travel partners since Covid) An airfare deposit component may be able to be refunded depending on booking conditions imposed)
Travel Insurance is mandatory and a condition of booking for all travellers to cover all cancellations and health conditions. Cover more and Global Nomads are both recommended. Nomads also has a specific Covid cover.
The French are so excited about our impending return to Vignacourt and we are really looking forward to being part of this wonderful community again. The BBQ day is one day you will never never forget!!!!!!
They even want us to stay one night in Vignacourt with families offering their homes just like they did during the Great War! This will be very special indeed.
Here is the latest itinerary. We are so excited about returning for Anzac Day commemorations and we know it will be an experience to remember. It always is!
